Veterans' Foundation Grant provides A New Lift

The Veterans Foundation kindly provided a £25,000 grant to help The Royal Maritime Hotel and Veterans Outreach Support’s partnership to provide accessible support for Veterans in Portsmouth. The funding has been used to install a new lift in the library connecting the ground floor of the hotel with the VOS offices and treatment rooms as well as providing access to the Hood Room which is used for meetings. As well as being run as a contemporary hotel and restaurant, with proceeds going to our charitable works.

Veterans Outreach Support Partnership

The Royal Maritime Hotel also serves as headquarters for the Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) charity. VOS has offices and treatment rooms and hosts regular activities at the Hotel. Members meet weekly for fun activities. There is also a monthly drop-in  where VOS offers support to Veterans who need help or advice or just a chat and some great company.

Everywhere is wheelchair-accessible, and therapy dogs on leads are welcome. The VOS drop-in is held on the first Wednesday of every month from 1400 to 1700 (new registrations are welcome to arrive from 1330).
